Why we started the brand?
Our founder started this brand out of desperation. Her life took a turn for the worst after a slip and fall rendered her helpless. The fall caused a concussion. That concussion continued to excel until a full Traumatic Brain Injury was diagnosed. Her once active life had to surrender to the new reality of a disabling condition. After years of debilitating pain and anguish Kathleen grew in determination to recover. Seeking ways to improve her daily living she stumbled across an ad about how mushrooms healed the brain and increased energy. Those were two areas she needed most support. After careful research she found no mushroom coffee was available that tastes great and actually worked without possibly contamination be it chemicals or allergens. That's when she begin the work of formulating her own blend.
Generations of Coffee and Conversations
What started this brand was the history of our family. My grandmother (not pictured) and mother were the inspiration for the love of coffee. They would sit at the table after breakfast and discuss many topics sharing coffee and tea cakes mostly. Baked goods were one of grandmother's specialty and she always brewed fresh coffee. Sitting in the living room we could hear them chatting away as the coffee aroma filled the room along with their planning for the day, laughter and words of wisdom. They were so lady like, dainty and delightful to watch. Now that tradition has been passed on from one generation to the next. We still make time for coffee and conversations.
Why our ingredients matter?
